It’s 50 B.C., and short but wily Asterix (Clovis Cornillac) and his rotund sidekick Obelix (Gerard Depardieu) hit the road for Rome, where they hope to compete in the Olympic Games. Obelix figures he’s a sure bet for a weight-lifting medal until he learns his special strength elixir is against the rules, and Asterix is soon distracted by the behind-the-scenes chicanery. Princess Irina (Vanessa Hessler), a beautiful member of the Greek royal family, is being wooed by well-meaning Lovesix (Stephane Rousseau), who is using love poems stolen from Obelix to win her heart, and untrustworthy Brutus (Benoit Poelvoorde), whose father is the Roman emperor Julius Caesar (Alain Delon). Brutus is eager to take over the throne from his father, and keeps trying to kill Caesar off to speed up the process. Asterix Aux Jeux Olympiques (aka Asterix At The Olympic Games) also features cameo appearances from a number of European sports stars, including Zinedine Zidane, Michael Schumacher and Tony Parker.

Filmmaker gifted, Laurent Tirard, noticed with the seductive “Lies and betrayals, and more if affinities …” and “Molière”, managed by a tour de force. His adaptation, both friendly and modern, dynamic and charming, does not in any way alters the original work. No mothballs in the recovery of these stylized ’60s with happiness. It features the same Goscinny and Sempe in these dialogues well trussed, tender and often hilarious (co-authored by Alain Chabat). The distribution is faultless. We will report the pretty fancy Sandrine Kiberlain, the craziness of Valerie Lemercier, and large dreamy eyes of young Victor Carles, who portrays a Clotar damn endearing. The film was nominated Caesar deserved 2010 Best Adapted Screenplay.

On returning from a buying trip abroad for the department store in which he works, Marshall finds he is in possession of a strange ornamental skull. Marshall is divorced and is looking after his son Charlie for a few days. The skull has special powers, and when Marshall and Charlie simultaneously wish they were each others age, father and son exchange bodies. Now Charlie has to go to work, and Marshall to school. Charlie also has to deal with Marshall’s girlfriend. If that weren’t enough a pair of smugglers are in pursuit of the skull.

Rob is also at the dance, but this time when Rob tries to deck Luke, Luke turns the tables and decks Rob. Sam is then fired for taking Luke to the dance without permission, although Luke had the permission of his parents, but secret service chief Morton didn’t want Luke leaving the White House grounds while Luke’s parents were on the campaign trail. Luke runs away anyway to meet a friend that he has been chatting on the internet with. The meeting is set to take place at a local mall,where Luke discovers that his secret friend is a now psychotic Woods, who blames Luke for his firing and wants revenge on Luke, but not if Sam can help it.
