Elsa and Clive, two young rebellious scientists, defy legal and ethical boundaries and forge ahead with a dangerous experiment: splicing together human and animal DNA to create a new organism. Named “Dren”, the creature rapidly develops from a deformed female infant into a beautiful but dangerous winged human-chimera, who forges a bond with both of her creators – only to have that bond turn deadly.

It is the mid-nineteenth century. Ada is a mute who has a young daughter, Flora. In an arranged marriage she leaves her native Scotland accompanied by her daughter and her beloved piano. She suffers torment and loss when Stewart sells her piano to a neighbour, George. Ada learns from George that she may earn back her piano by giving him piano lessons, but only with certain other conditions attached. At first Ada despises George but slowly their relationship is transformed and this propels them into a dire situation.

March/April 1917. the first world war is already a couple year old. A sealed train with Russian emigrants keeps on driving from Zurich through Germany and Sweden to Saint-Petersburg. The bolsheviks on the train are lead by Vladimir J. Lenin (Kingsley). There are some unpleasant collisions taking place between enthusiastic Socialists and workers concerned about the war. During the train travel time Lenin’s affair with the gracious Inessa comes to an end, and his Nadja is prepared to take him back. The triumphant arrival in Saint-Petersburg exceeds all expectations.

Princess Irina (Vanessa Hessler), a beautiful member of the Greek royal family, is being wooed by well-meaning Lovesix (Stephane Rousseau), who is using love poems stolen from Obelix to win her heart, and untrustworthy Brutus (Benoit Poelvoorde), whose father is the Roman emperor Julius Caesar (Alain Delon). Brutus is eager to take over the throne from his father, and keeps trying to kill Caesar off to speed up the process. Asterix Aux Jeux Olympiques (aka Asterix At The Olympic Games) also features cameo appearances from a number of European sports stars, including Zinedine Zidane, Michael Schumacher and Tony Parker.

The story is set at the beginning of the 20th century in Sicily. Salvatore, a very poor farmer, and a widower, decides to emigrate to the US with all his family, including his old mother. Before they embark, they meet Lucy. She is supposed to be a British lady and wants to come back to the States. Lucy, or Luce as Salvatore calls her, for unknown reasons wants to marry someone before to arrive to Ellis Island in New York. Salvatore accepts the proposal. Once they arrive in Ellis Island they spend the quarantine period trying to pass the examinations to be admitted to the States. Tests are not so simple for poor farmers coming from Sicily. Their destiny is in the hands of the custom officers.

Filmmaker gifted, Laurent Tirard, noticed with the seductive “Lies and betrayals, and more if affinities …” and “Molière”, managed by a tour de force. His adaptation, both friendly and modern, dynamic and charming, does not in any way alters the original work. No mothballs in the recovery of these stylized ’60s with happiness. It features the same Goscinny and Sempe in these dialogues well trussed, tender and often hilarious (co-authored by Alain Chabat). The distribution is faultless. We will report the pretty fancy Sandrine Kiberlain, the craziness of Valerie Lemercier, and large dreamy eyes of young Victor Carles, who portrays a Clotar damn endearing. The film was nominated Caesar deserved 2010 Best Adapted Screenplay.

In Paris, the international police force and the Russian mafia are chasing Anthony Zimmer, an intelligent man responsible for laundry of dirty money in France.
